Hope everyone is doing well. Here is Part III of my catch up update. Just a heads up, I will be using the word certification a lot!
After finally having a full client base with LA Fitness, I was still not quite ready to resume obtaining my life coach certification with CCI (Christian Coach Institute). I had to first renew my Personal Fitness Trainer certification with NESTA (National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association) by October 26, 2019. In order to accomplish that particular task, I had to take more continuing education courses related to personal training and obtain other certifications. The two new certification that I chose to pursue were the Battling Ropes Coach and Group Exercise Instructor with NESTA.
The process to obtain the two new certifications was pretty smooth. I gave myself several months to study the material, and passed the Battling Ropes Coach test with a score of 98% and the Group Exercise Instructor test with a score of 100%! I decided to give myself a break from studying for a few months before shifting my focus back to obtaining the life coach certification with CCI.
It was around early March 2020 that I resumed my work to become certified with CCI. I soon realized how beefy the assignments were and the amount of time this endeavor is going to take. Once again, I found myself stuck. What do I sacrifice this time around? I asked God for wisdom and clarity on this issue and it wasn’t too long before I got an answer. On March 16, 2020, all the gyms in California were shut down due to the Coronavirus outbreak. California went under a strict stay-at-home order. All of a sudden, I had an unprecedented amount of free time. It was pretty clear to me what my next steps were. The time to go all in on obtaining that life coach certification has finally come.
